Destiny Grace {7 days}

August 30, 2010

This little one comes with a pretty amazing story.  Excuse my lack of specific dates, but the coincidence is spectacular nonetheless.  Her mama was born on the 22nd of one month, her daddy was born on the 22nd of a different month.  They married on the 22nd of yet another entirely different month.  Along comes baby on the 22nd of August (natural, no scheduled induction)….just after mom had pushed for….you guessed it….22 minutes.  Wow.  When they were telling me this story, the hair literally stood up on my arms and I was covered in goosebumps.  How could they not bless this amazing bundle with the name Destiny?!!?  Thank you for bringing your daughter into the studio and allowing me to be a part of these fresh, fleeting moments.  She is quite incredible.

Baby Mason {14 days}

August 24, 2010

Meet the {S} Family!  Baby Mason arrived in this world just 14 days ago.  He.Is.The.Sweetest.Thing.EVER!!!!  After the 10-day mark, I often times have difficulty keeping littles ones sleepy, but this guy was a champ!  Other than my cold hands startling him, he was happy as a clam both sleeping and awake.  Newborns have me looking forward to picking up my camera each day….the miracle of it all inspires me.  Big Brother Shay was so patient and such a good sport waiting for his turn in front of the camera (and waiting for my promise to chase him around the studio….yes, we played a quick game of tickle monster after wrapping up).  It was a pleasure meeting you all - - thank you for choosing me to work with your family!

The {m} Family

August 22, 2010

I envy parents-to-be.  The anticipation, the excitement, the planning….and, the worry…..babies don’t come with manuals, you know!!  This couple decided to wait on learning the sex of baby until he/she arrives.  And, to make the suspension even worse…..they are not telling their families possible names for their bambino!!  We did a few photos incorporating names they are pondering so, while I know the awesome (and meaningful!) names they have picked out, I just cannot work on bribery this go around.  I pinky swear that I will not spill the beans.  Thank you for making the trek down to the studio - - I cannot wait to meet the newest addition to your family!

Robert Thomas {15 days}

August 20, 2010

Drum Roll Please……I am so excited to introduce Robert Thomas.  He was proudly welcomed to this world on August 4th.  What a beautiful boy!!  I am particularly in love with this little guy as I’ve known his mama for upwards of 13 years (wow, has it been that long?!?!?) and, while we do not catch up as often as we should, I was honored that she contacted me to capture the newness of her son.  I’m telling ya, this boy is animated!  While he was awake (which was the majority of the time I spent with him!) he made the sweetest faces - - my favorite, in particular, was his pirate face…..so adorable!  Congratulations Amy & Ryan!  Your son is absolutely perfect!!

The {m} Family

August 19, 2010

The {m family} came to me about 6 months ago for their son’s six month photos.  I am so glad they came back for family photos and to capture Maddox in his one-year glory.  I’m not going to give ya’ll the spiel about how much Maddox has grown….you know how I feel about babies getting bigger….talking about it just makes me weepy.  This family is a riot.  Mom and Dad cracking jokes and easy to chat with, Miss Breanna singing and dancing up a storm (she is quite the entertainer….this three-year-old can out sing any kindergartner in the Sponge Bob theme song competition), and Mr. Maddox is nothing short of a typical one-year-old boy with his goofy faces, avoiding the camera, desperately wanting to explore and testing the boundaries to see how far Mom and Dad will follow his cute little games.  Everyone showed up in good spirts.  Bribery was involved (take note!  silly bands and ice cream are excellent negotiating items!).  And all was a success.  Yes, this sneak peek is a whopper, but I wanted to show Mom that, even when it *seems* like kiddos aren’t cooperating, I am still able to snag some sweet moments.  Enjoy!  And thank you for choosing moi to capture your family…again.

Kylie & Brystol {11 days}

August 18, 2010

Meet Kylie Marie and Brystol Mae.  Two little beauties who arrived in this world just 11 days ago.  The girls are gorgeous with perfect little noses, wide eyes, sweet sneezes and just the right amount of fine, newborn, wispy hair.  Mom and Dad are over-the-moon-in-love with their girls (can you blame them?!?!?).  Adoring and caring for their babes was so effortless for them….they are going to be amazing parents!!!  Thank you for making the trip to the studio - - it was a pleasure meeting your family of four!
