Holly Jolly Holiday {promo}
July 30, 2009
***PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR POSTS***

I know, I know, its only July. In the photography community, we are already thinking about Holiday portraits. If you are interested in booking a Holiday portrait session, please contact me as soon as you know I am the photographer for your family. Note that my fall schedule books up *very* quickly.
I am excited about this year’s Holiday cards. As many of my past clients know, I generally put together a “defined” storyboard for each session. This year’s set of Holiday cards mimic the defined templates that you’ve either purchased or have seen in your private galleries. I’ve also included images below of past card collections that will still be available this year. Please note that this is just to give a general idea - each card can be further customized (different patterns, word replacement, changing colors, etc.).
Pricing is as follows:
set of 25 5×7 cards w/ envelopes
One-sided printed on professional photo paper: $45.00
One-sided printed on linen paper: $55.00
Two-sided printed on linen paper: $70.00

Erica: Do you sell your templates for cards? They are awesome!
In addition to the cards previously posted, I am now offering a whole new set of cards! I’m all about offering choices for ya! These are a bit different than the other style. These cards are one-sided and are printed on 5×7 photo paper or linen paper. Anywhere you see red can be changed to PINK for a fun and funky look.
Pricing for a set of 25 with envelopes:
Photo Paper: $45.00
Linen Paper: $55.00
And, just for reference, here are the other cards I’m offering. Everywhere you see green can be changed to RED!
Pricing for a set with 25 envelopes:
One sided, printed on photo paper: $45.00
One sided, printed on linen paper: $55
Two sided, printed on linen paper: $70.00
If you’ve visited my photography website, you know that I do Portrait Parties. Clients are currently booking appointments for parties to take place in the Fall/Winter in hopes that they can snag some good photos of their kiddos and families to include in their Holiday Cards.
For those of you who are unaware of what a Portarit Party entails, I’ll give you a quick lowdown. You would host a party and invite 8-12 families, friends, coworkers, etc. There is no sitting fee for any participant, no obligation to purchase photos, and there are no costs incurred to the host of the party. Wait, it gets better. The host of the party receives a free 8×10, two 5×7’s and a set of 8 wallets. Hosts also receive credit toward additional prints in the amount of 10% of all guest print purchases. The only thing I need is a 10×10 space to work in. Each mini-session lasts about 20 minutes. This is a great way for you and your friends to have professional portraits made in a fun and affordable way in the comfort of your own home. You can obtain more detailed information by visiting www.mishkaphotography.com and clicking on “Parties.”
If you are interested in hosting a party, please call as soon as possible to reserve your date. Alternatively, if you are not keen on hosting a party, but would like professional photographs taken for the Holidays, please contact me to schedule an individual portrait session. Weekend appointments for parties and individual sessions are limited!
This is good stuff. I mean, really good stuff. Its so good it ranks right up there with that last bite of cherry cheesecake I devoured yesterday. I’m so pumped about the 2008 Christmas cards. They are fabulous and are ready for print. I know what you’re thinking. “WHAT?” “Its only July for goodness sake!” Yes, I’m way ahead of the game and you should be too. Why wait until November to have your Holiday cards done? Why deal with the Holiday rush? Why not cross one thing off your December to-do list and get the obligatory cards over and done with. I promise, you’ll feel good about it.
The general color combo is brown/green/blue. However, the scheme can be changed to brown/green/red. Just depends on how funky or traditional you’re feeling this year. As always, font type, wording, etc. can be altered to your taste (i.e., Happy Holidays vs. Merry Christmas, etc., etc.). The gray areas on the samples below are where your photos are inserted.
Here’s what I’m offering price-wise. All come in sets of 25 and include envelopes.
Option 1: One-sided 5×7 cards printed on professional grade photo paper. $45.00 ($1.80 per card)
Option 2: One-sided 5×7 cards printed on linen paper. $55.00 ($2.20 per card)
Option 3: Two-sided 5×7 cards printed on linen paper. $70.00 ($2.80 per card)
Okay, ya still with me? Good. Order your cards before September 30 and take 10% off your card order. You can order the cards with an existing photo either I, or you, have taken. Or, book your session with me and receive 25% off your session fee and 10% off your card order. After September 30, all discounts are no longer valid and regular pricing goes into effect.
